Scottrade, Inc. has a Web Development Internship position available in Saint Louis, MO. The main purpose of this position is to provide an opportunity for a quick learner to grow their knowledge of the financial industry and enhance their development skills while helping the Application Development department to complete assigned projects. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with C# or Java and the Windows operating system. Must be able to work 30 hours or less per week and 8 hours or less per day.

Responsibilities:

* Work with junior and senior team members, as well as business and product departments, to plan and develop applications.
* Work within production control guidelines for production application changes.
* Unit test new and existing solutions to ensure proper performance and efficiency.
* Obtain a working knowledge of the operating systems and hardware used by the Application Development department.
* Document new and existing applications in accordance with development standards.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Great attention to detail.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Basic level proficiency with Windows NT servers and Windows operating systems.

Education and Experience:

* Full time student working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related field required.
* 2 years of academic or professional programming experience C# or Java.
